Joe Magee Raises over $4,000 in first two days of online fundraising

BURLINGTON, VT -- Progressive candidate Joe Magee announced today that his campaign crossed a crucial fundraising goal in the special election for Ward 3 City Council. In the first 48-hours of online fundraising, the campaign brought in $4,301 from 55 individual donors, for an average contribution of $78.

Magee said the following in a statement:

“Our campaign will be funded by individuals, not corporations, and I’m humbled by the support of the dozens of folks who have donated so far.”

“This campaign will continue to focus on the issues facing working families in Ward 3, and advocating for justice for marginalized communities, BIPOC folks, and LGBTQIA+ folks. We’ll be talking about a resident-focused housing agenda, a truly livable wage, and affordable child care. The folks supporting this campaign understand the urgency on these issues and so many others.”
